I, Gevork Polandian- member of The Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (“ΕΠΙΜΕΛΗΤΗΡΙΟ ΕΙΚΑΣΤΙΚΩΝ ΤΕΧΝΩΝ ΕΛΛΑΔΑΣ”), was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1978. My educational journey began there, and in 1993, I relocated to Greece, where I have resided permanently since 1997.

Driven by a profound affinity for the arts, I embarked on my painting endeavors at the age of 25, under the tutelage of the esteemed Armenian painter, Grand Avakian.

Two significant exhibitions adorn my artistic portfolio. In 2011, I held my inaugural solo exhibition at Pyli Ag. Georgiou in Heraklion, Crete. Subsequently, I participated in a group art exhibition commemorating International Mother’s Day in 2012 at the Nea Ionia Municipality Art Gallery. Alongside these showcases, I have ventured into diverse artistic mediums, crafting murals, mosaics, and portable images. My creations and icons grace Churches and private collections across America, Europe, Russia, the Arab Emirates, as well as Armenia and Greece.

My pursuit of artistic excellence led me to the School of Byzantine Hagiography of Agios Titos, where I studied under the esteemed instructor, Georgios Chirakakis, earning a certificate with distinction. In the realm of church iconography, I honed my skills under the guidance of revered Hagiography mentors such as Georgios Chirakakis, Nikos Viskadourakis, and the late Manolis Bettinakis.

Recently, I was bestowed with the honor of canonizing the Church of the Holy Martyrs in Kiev, Ukraine, a solemn dedication to the memory of the Armenian Genocide.

Professional Fresco technic

A "fresco" refers to a form of wall painting crafted using natural pigments and clays blended with water and applied onto fresh plaster. The plaster, crucially, must retain moisture during the artistic process. It is spread gradually, for the artist to complete within a day's work.
